Common questions
Is it a subscription?
No. After a 7-day free trial you buy Ambitus once. One purchase covers your iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch, and your family through Family Sharing.
I have a new device, or I reinstalled Ambitus.
Open Settings ▸ General ▸ Ambitus and choose “Restore Purchase”. The purchase belongs to your Apple Account.
Where are my notes?
In your own folders, as ordinary files. Settings ▸ Storage shows where.
A change doesn’t show on my other device.
Both devices must use the same folder (Settings ▸ Storage on each) and be signed in to iCloud Drive. Then give iCloud a moment.
Siri doesn’t understand “Capture in Ambitus”.
Add our ready-made shortcut: open the link on your iPhone and tap “Add Shortcut”. Then say “Hey Siri, Capture in Ambitus”. It offers Write, Speak or Recording, as on Apple Watch, without opening Ambitus. Record for as long as you like, then turn it into text in the note.

To have the same shortcut on your iPad and Mac, turn on iCloud Sync for Shortcuts on each device (iPhone and iPad: Settings ▸ Apps ▸ Shortcuts; Mac: Shortcuts ▸ Settings).
To stop when Siri asks for the note, say “Cancel”.
What happens when the trial ends?
Nothing of yours is lost. Your notes and lists stay in your folders, and your tasks and events stay in Apple’s Reminders and Calendar.
